Structured Field Experience (City College of San Francisco, Aptos Middle School, 2007)

  • Worked for four weeks in a middle school mathematics course for students with mild-to-moderate learning disabilities and emotional disturbance. Taught a lesson about the lattice method of multiplication under teacher supervision.Observed a general education mathematics classroom.

Community Teaching Fellowship in Mathematics and Science (UC Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz High, 2004)

  • Worked for twenty weeks in observation and participation in a high school algebra, geometry, and calculus course. Taught a lesson under teacher supervision in the calculus course about multiplicative summation. Participated in a two-quarter seminar course on mathematics and science instruction, where I designed and taught a lesson on using matrics to balance chemistry equations (integrating both mathematics and science standards.)

Structured Field Experience (UC Santa Cruz, Delta High School, 2001)

  • Worked for ten weeks in observation and participation in a mathematics and computer applications course at a small alternative (drop-out prevention) high school.
